"Jim's book is thoroughly, entertaining and honest and for us to be included is an honor.

If you dream of sailing off into the sunset after you retire we suggest "Sailing into Retirement" is a must read."

Aloha e' Komo mai!
Welcome and come aboard.

Fake IDs are not just for the underage. Many adults want to use them to buy alcohol or cigarettes, or to get into bars and clubs. There's also a market in fake IDs for people who want to pretend they're somebody else. The most common type of scannable fake ID is a driver's license. These are usually printed on a special plastic card, with an embedded computer chip and some form of holographic design that should make it easy for bouncers at bars or clubs to spot them from several feet away.

This is the Log of the Sailing Vessel Lealea, recounting our cruising life; voyaging, sailing and living aboard a small boat. Join us as we search for peace, health and the simple joy of living.

Our operating philosophy, borrowed from Lin and Larry Pardey, is “Go small. Go simple. Go now.”

Our vessel is the Albin Vega diesel auxiliary sloop Lealea, 27 feet on deck, 8 feet beam and 4 feet draft.

Our goal is to challenge ourselves and our vessel and by so doing learn and grow; to share our experiences and the lessons learned through our videos and written logs; to promote small boat cruising in general and the American Vega Association in particular.
For more insight into the cruising life or to simply give advice please visit our blog found in The Logbook or you can also follow and comment with us on Facebook or Google+.

Visit The Captain's Notebook where Chuck Rose writes down his thoughts, notes and lessons learned about cruising, sailing and boat maintenance or open the First Mate's Journal by Laura Wong-Rose and read of Lealea's voyages in her daily logs.  Click into The Galley to find a few seagoing recipes or get ideas on provisioning and budgeting and learn a little about how we manage to eat healthy without refrigeration

We created Lealea's Book Locker to provide a list of recommended books for sailors or those who's dreams are of the wind and sea. We consider many of these books to be a "must read" for any prospective boat owner or cruiser.

Check out Laura's photography website which offers a selection of her favorite images available for purchase and offers a wide variety of matting and framing options.
